Undergraduate Courses (through ACD)

Undergraduate courses consist of a Diploma of Ministry offering eight chaplaincy pathways and a Bachelor of Ministry with multiple entry and exit points. Students enrol through the Adelaide College of Divinity (ACD) but receive tuition through Uniting College.

Diploma of Ministry

One Diploma. Eight pathways.

The Diploma of Ministry delivers contemporary Christian education that combines theological study with pastoral placement, so you can gain a deeper understanding of the Bible while developing valuable practical skills.

As part of your studies, you will have the opportunity to undertake Supervised Field Education. This will place you in a ministry role within a community setting where you can apply your knowledge and develop practical skills, with the support of an accredited ministry practitioner.

An updated Diploma of Ministry course brochure will be available for download soon.

There are eight pathways so you can tailor you studies to your interests. They include;

Aged Care Chaplaincy

School Chaplaincy

Innovation and Pioneering

A Chaplaincy Coordinator will support you as you explore your call and help you choose your pathway.

Students completing the Diploma of Ministry will gain one year of status towards a Bachelor of Ministry.

I hope that wherever you feel called to minister, you enjoy your journey of learning with us.

Bachelor of Ministry

The Bachelor of Ministry helps develop deeply reflective leaders responsive to the changing face of ministry and mission. Centered on the integration of practice and theology, students will engage with contemporary approaches to scripture, mission, leadership and Christian education and discipleship as they grow and develop their skills for Christian ministry.

It is delivered via blended learning. It requires three years of full-time study or the equivalent study part-time. It provides academic and professional preparation for lay and ordained ministry in a variety of contemporary missional contexts. It also provides preparation for the ordained positions of Minister of the Word and Ministry of Deacon.

Employment and vocational outcomes include: youth workers, church planters, children and family workers, church administrators, chaplains in hospital, mental health and disability settings, congregational ministries and worship leaders.
