A range of scholarships are available to assist students.

Uniting College has a range of Scholarships available. Students are encouraged to apply. Please have a look at the Uniting College Grant guidelines.

RH White Scholarship

RH White Scholarships provide full or part fee scholarships for students planning to undertake the Certificate IV in Christian Life & Ministry course who require financial assistance in the payment of fees. RH White Scholarships may also be considered for students that are undertaking studies and undergraduate or post graduate courses who are not eligible for Fee Help. Uniting College would like to acknowledge the significant gift of Richard Henry and Emily White made in 1926 to enable these scholarships to be offered.

Church Planting

One of Uniting College’s strategic objectives is to grow pioneers in innovation and invigoration. Scholarships may be awarded to Uniting Church members who are undertaking studies in Missiology at the Adelaide College of Divinity or Flinders University to further develop student’s skills in these areas. Assistance may be granted in the form of fees reimbursement, living costs, travel or other related ministry costs to the value of $5,000 per annum. Download an application form here.

Chaplaincy

This scholarship is for ministers who are in part-time placements or not currently in a placement.  Applicants are to demonstrate an interest in pursuing this ministry and a call to develop skills in chaplaincy. The expected time commitment is half a day a week with an experienced chaplain and half a day a week of study over a one, or ideally two year period. This scholarship will enable the church to have an increased number of skilled chaplains who are able to reflect theologically and allow qualified supervisors to input into the next generation.  Scholarships are offered to the value of $3,000 per annum. Gled-Hill Trust

The Gled-Hill Trust Scholarships are available to applicants who are members of any Protestant church in South Australia wishing to pursue an education toward the fulfilment of a Christian vocation. The Scholarships offer funding toward any approved course or training program taught at or recognised by Uniting College that will assist applicants in the pursuit of their Christian vocations. Applications are considered on merit and a maximum of $5,000 is available to applicants over a 3 year period. Download an application form here.

Arnold D. Hunt Memorial Fund

This fund is to promote the study of Methodist History and theology embracing any area of Methodism inside or outside Australia, including the provision of scholarships to assist students in Australia or overseas, to finance the visit of a lecturer/s in Methodism and subsidise publications relating to Methodism. This fund was established in 2001 and has a life of 30 years. Download an application form here.

Highbury Trust – Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Scholarships

If you are thinking of pursuing studies at the Uniting College of Leadership and Theology as part of your development as a Christian leader and you come from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse background, the Highbury Street Fund of the Uniting Church SA may be able to help by contributing to your study funds.
